Hi I’m Laura Wharehinga but you can call me Loz! I’m the creator of Designs By Loz, a freelance design studio based in Dunedin. I am passionate about what I do and love working with businesses of all sizes and bringing their visions to life, helping them put their best foot forward, grow and reach their potential.  Branding is my specialty and my experienced gained at a full service agency allows me to offer clients the complete package from initial brand development all the way through to, marketing communications, digital design, advertising and websites.

In 2014 I graduated with a Bachelor of Design (Communication) from Otago Polytechnic. After freelancing for several months and working doing several small design roles I took a full time design position at a local agency that spanned 5 years. 

In 2020 I decided it was time to go out on my own and do work which is more fulfilling, something that was always a dream of mine. Starting a business a couple of months before an unpredictable global pandemic wasn’t what I had originally planned and some would say I was destined for failure but I've found my work speaks for itself and with hard work and continued support from industry connections, friends and family I have continued to grow, improving my success each year. Its all about doing great work for great people in my eyes.
